… The winner gets a free cup of coffee (size, flavor, and style of their choosing). This group is for anyone who would like to be seen reading a book other than The Girl who Kicked the Fire-dragon's Hornet Tattoo (not saying the Millennium series isn't great...I just think that book clubs have gone a little overboard with them) Also, anyone who has ever been disappointed with Ms. Winfrey's flavor of the month (damn you, Oprah, and your public-swaying ways!) is encouraged to join.
If you live nearby, want to read one book/month and then meet a fabulous, diverse group of smart, funny women to drink coffee/tea/whatever
to chat about our book, this might be the group for you. Please: no spouses, no kids, no "I didn't read the book, but I came anyway, pass the bean dip." If your plans change after you've rsvp'd yes, please change your status to "not going." Otherwise, you'll be considered a "no show," which is a drag. After two no shows, you are subject to removal from the gr …

I've been wanting to join a book club for a while, but as a full-time working mom with a 2 year old, it's been difficult to find the "right" book club. Many of the ones I have come across seem to be incredibly structured and inflexible (you MUST read the entire book) in a few short weeks, no NY bestsellers/no chic lit, etc… These are all the types of books I read! So, if you are looking for a book club that does have a heavy emphasis on CHIC LIT, easy/engaging fiction reads (i.e. books like The H …

This is a group for women in their 30s who feel they are going through major transitions in life, i.e., career, family, new home, friendships/relationships, spirituality, etc. As a woman in my 30's, I definitely experienced this transition and I am still going through it now. My purpose in creating this group is to create a space fo …
