In a nutshell, what we do at our meet-ups is savour and talk about ONE short story of note in “real time”, aloud. At the meet-up one of the facilitators kicks things off by reading the first few paragraphs of the chosen story. The reader then pauses and the group discusses anything that feels pertinent in that moment with regard to the story or their experience of it. The facilitator will …

I don’t know about you, but I still enjoy sitting on the couch and reading a good magazine. However, if like me once you`re finished they either go in the recycling bin or there is a major pile up of “read once” magazines. How about saving yourself some money, save some trees and your recycling bin from filling up too quickly!!!! A swap party will be held every 2 to 3 months

I am a student and a designer who is always trying to start publishing projects. I thought it would be great to start a group with similar interests as me and perhaps the discussions in this group could generate a group project or support for individual projects. This is a process oriented/discussion group for writers, artists, designers and other passionate, crafty or generally creative people who want to work on their own publication or contribute content to an independent printed publication.

So if you feel like you don't get out enough and want a more sociable 2012 join the group and come along to a meet. I'm new to this and I don't know the area very well so any idea …

Are you a code ninja with two X chromosomes searching for a similar bunch of ladies to drink coffee and discuss code with? You’ve come to the right place. We meet bi-monthly to talk about one specific problem or topic. Using the powers of our collective minds and the extra methods our estrogen gives us access to, we toss around ideas and examine them together. We continue to develop our code-fu in the process. Everybody gets input on the question, and we vote beforehand. Think of it as a book cl …

I decided my new group would include EVERYTHING and EVERYBODY! I've got a lovely Co-Organiser called Taj but everyone one that joins can have, if they want, a stint as Assistant Organiser …
